Purposeful surfing

is when you find sides like these showing the GDP/country and much more X/country or population ratio maps, X being education, child birth or HIV infection and much more.

GDP world mapGDP world mapGDP world map Similar maps here. It’s for instance quite interesting to compare the GDP map with the world population one. The only map missing is one with Nobel prize winners/country ratio. Africa would hardly exist, South America and most of Asia just the same…

Anyway, I better go back to work now. Tot stracks!

  1. Interesting!

Regarding the Nobel/country ratio there is something like that in Wikimedia: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9e/Worldmapnobellaureatesbycountry2.PNG

  2. Glad to see that you liked the post. I had a look on the Nobel ration map. If it were “resized” as the others, would be even better. Thanks anyway!
